Dr. Med. Dent. Alexandros Manolakis

Dr. Med. Dent. Alexandros Manolakis graduated the Dental School of the University of Freiburg in Germany in 2002. He continued with his postgraduate training in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry at the same university. In 2003 he obtained the Dr. Med. Dent degree at the University of Göttingen after successfully defending his dissertation.

He has been co-author of a textbook on Periodontology (Praxis der Zahnheilkunde, Parodontologie, 4th Ed; Elsevier, 2005), he has published articles in international dental journals and lectured in scientific congresses in 20 countries.

Fields of special interest include esthetic dentistry, guided implant placement, applications of CAD/CAM technology in dentistry, periodontal plastic microsurgery and immediate loading of implants placed in the edentulous jaw (All-on-4, Fast & Fixed concepts).

He is an affiliate of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, an Active Member of the Digital Dentistry Society (DDS) and the Greek Prosthodontics Society (ΕΛΛΠΕ). He belongs to the founding members of the Greek Society of Medical and Dental Technology. He is an honorary member of the Indian Academy of Oral Implantology (AOI).

Dr. Alexandros Manolakis serves as co-editor-in-chief of the Greek journal Dentorama.
He is a skillful gardener. Other hobbies include photography, kitesurfing, cycling, skiing and traveling.
